Privacy Policy for Photo Compressor Lite (Mobile App)
Published by: ChromiumOne
At ChromiumOne, we respect your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when using the Photo Compressor Lite mobile app.
1. Overview & What This Policy Covers
This Privacy Policy applies only to the Photo Compressor Lite mobile application. It explains what information the app collects (if any), how it is used, whether it is shared with third parties, and your choices regarding your data. It also describes how third-party advertising services, such as Google AdMob, may collect information to display and measure advertisements.
2. Data Collection & Use
a) Photos and Files You Select
Photo Compressor Lite processes images that you choose from your device solely to perform compression or resizing. Image processing takes place locally on your device. Your photos are not uploaded to our servers, stored by us, or shared with us during normal app usage.
b) Device Permissions
The app may request permission to access your photo library or storage so that you can select images to compress and save the compressed versions back to your device. These permissions are used only for the app's intended functionality.
c) Data Collected by Third-Party Ad / Analytics SDKs
Because the mobile app integrates the Google AdMob SDK to serve ads, third-party code may automatically collect certain device or usage data to enable ad delivery, performance measurement, and analytics. According to Google's disclosures, the SDK may collect data such as device identifiers, IP address, performance data, advertising IDs (or equivalent), and user interactions. This data may be used for:
- Displaying ads (contextual or targeted, depending on consent)
- Advertising measurement and analytics (impressions, clicks, performance)
- SDK operation and performance optimization
Data collected by third-party partners is governed by their own privacy policies.
3. Tracking & Consent (App Tracking Transparency for IOS)
If the app requests permission under Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework, you will be prompted to allow or decline tracking.
- If you allow tracking: AdMob and other SDKs may use collected data to target ads or measure ad performance.
- If you deny tracking: The app will function normally but only non-personalized or less personalized ads will be shown, and tracking/targeted advertising will not occur.
4. What We Do Not Collect or Store
We do not collect or store your photos on our servers. We do not require user accounts or collect personal information such as your name, email address, or phone number in order to use the app. Your image compression activities remain on your device unless you choose to share your files yourself.
5. Data Protection & Third-Party Partners
We rely on third-party providers (e.g., advertising networks) for ad delivery and analytics. Any third party with whom data is shared must provide equal protection of user data in accordance with this policy and App Store and Play Store requirements. We encourage users to review the privacy policies of these partners (e.g., Google AdMob) for details about their data collection and processing.
6. Your Rights & Controls
You have the following rights and control options:
- You can grant or revoke photo library permissions at any time through your device settings.
- You can choose whether to allow app tracking where supported.
- You can manage advertising preferences through your device or Google advertising settings.
- Since we do not store your photos or personal data on our servers, there is generally no server-side personal data for us to delete.
- You may contact us if you have questions regarding privacy or data handling.
7. Children & Sensitive Data
Photo Compressor Lite is not specifically intended for children under the age required by applicable law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app does not request access to sensitive information such as contacts, messages, precise location, or health information.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically—for example, when adding new features, integrating new third-party SDKs, or modifying data collection practices. Updates will be reflected here with an updated “Last updated” date.
9. Contact Us
